About the Role:
Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Dental New Patient Coordinator to join our growing practice in Orange, NJ! In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for new patients, creating a welcoming experience that sets the tone for exceptional dental care. Responsibilities:
- Greet and onboard new patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming intake process
- Schedule and confirm new patient appointments, managing the dental practice calendar efficiently
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical history forms
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication
- Follow up with prospective patients via phone, email, and text to convert inquiries into scheduled appointments
- Explain treatment plans, financial options, and dental insurance benefits to new patients
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare front desk role preferred
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a busy dental environment
- Bilingual skills a plus, reflecting the diverse community we serve
- High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting or administrative certification a bonus
