About the Role:
Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a motivated and personable Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ. In this role, you'll be the bridge between our patients and their path to a healthier smile — guiding them through treatment plans, financial options, and scheduling with care and confidence. Responsibilities:
- Present and explain treatment plans to patients in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner
- Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-ups, and appointment confirmations to maximize office efficiency
- Discuss financial arrangements, insurance benefits, and payment plan options with patients
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and assist with claims processing and pre-authorizations
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation using dental practice management software
- Collaborate with dentists and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care and case acceptance
- Follow up with patients on pending treatment plans to encourage case completion
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a dental office or healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology, treatment planning, and insurance processes
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively in a busy office
- Bilingual skills a plus, especially Spanish or other languages spoken in the Orange, NJ community
- High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting or healthcare certification a plus
